For Kyle Clyd, art and life are inseparable and that is expressed in her personalized DIY sound performances, “noise” compositions, as well as in her sculptures and design. Clyd uses very low budget means to create seemingly large scale multi-media works. This highlights her identity and social role as a creator.

Clyd’s sounds are immersive and appear to travel throughout the room or to resonate within the body when they are experienced live.

Clyd draws on her experience as a production assistant for television, a studio assistant in the New York art world, a media lab manager at universities, and a trained sculptor to create impromptu staged environments for experimental sounds that are both visually appealing and socially inviting.

Clyd also creates micro-editions of sound art, text art, and objects.
