Curation
Kyle Clyd’s work in music is curatorial in that shows and recordings post-2012 feature both amateur and expert performers and contributors from her community to complete noise compositions, new music, and sound art works. This puts her in the artist-as-curator role in which group performances share a sensibility with relational aesthetics.
Kyle Clyd was an experimental music booker and art show curator in Baltimore, MD in 2007 and in New York City from 2008-2009 at Silent Barn and from 2009-2012 at Port d’Or, an art and music space which she cofounded.
